Behind the scenes footage from a recent recording session at Ocean Way Studios, in which I had the opportunity to compose and conduct a short sequence from an animated film currently in production.
Originally written as an underscore for the “Medora Musical” in 2010, I recently re-scored and re-recorded this cue with members of Nashville Music Scoring at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville.
I’ll admit it – “The Chronicles of Narnia” and “Star Trek” were influences on this track that I recorded with members of Nashville Music Scoring at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville.
The title pretty much sums it up. And nothing says doom like the last two notes. You can thank John Williams and “Jaws” for making us afraid of any two notes 1/2 step apart! Thanks to members of Nashville Music Scoring and the folks at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville for bringing this track to life.
In an attempt to explain “Star Wars” to me, my 5-yr old started out by describing a guy known as “Dark Vader”. Seemed like an appropriate title for this cue. Again, recorded with members of Nashville Music Scoring at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville.
